How can a Christian

How can a Christian profess to be a Christian, yet vote for candidates who are openly for abortion and gay rights? Are we not to be circumspect in choosing our leaders? And when should our wallet take precedence over our morals? Never! As I've stated on here before, God will not allow this country to continue in it's moral decadence. If He does, Sodom and Gomorrah will cry against us for the same judgment that was poured out on them.

Jeremiah 18 gives us a good idea of what God desires of His people.

Exactly why I can never vote for a democrat. I just can't get past the moral issues. Especially with Obama who thinks its ok to abort a child at 9 months.

But you can vote for a Republican who votes to fund Planned Parenthood which does nothing more than promote abortion in America, but also sends millions in US taxpayer money overseas to murder babies in foreign countries as well? John McCain and the Republican party is no moral superior to the Democrats. But as long as short sighted christians believe it they will continue to glady have their support.

It's funny how Democrats are routinely credited for homoseaxual sympathy yet a blind eye is turned to the Log Cabin Rebublicans who are wholeheartily supporting McCain!

It's also funny how christians are always lamenting the fact that there are no dedicated christians running for office (and don't try the "Bush is a christian" line) when God has had a strong christian running for the Presidency in the last 5-6 elections in the US Taxpayer/Constitution Party yet they are ignored.

Stuff like this pisses me off to no end, you question my morals when your party has killed over 4,000 Americans for nothing? Look in the mirror before you question others moral values. One of the few things on here that will still set me off is this.

I empathise that 4000 soldiers have lost their lives in Irag, which is a war supported by both sides. But it's incomprehensible to compare that to 40,000,000 helpless babies who have lost their lives to some abortionist. Abortion is an atrocious, barbaric act.

Again, I never attached a party to the post. If something like this _______you off, then why not ignore it all together?
Abortion is murder, pure and simple. Well, they'll do it in the back alleys anyway? Wow, that's great logic. Let's just make murder legal since they'll do it in the back alleys anyway. And while we're at it let's legalize pedaphilia, since they're going to do it anyway.
This is a religious thread, and the question was addressed as a moral question, not a political one. If you have a problem with me because I am against abortion and gay rights, then take it up with the One who wrote the rules, not me. His Word is clear on both these issues, and that is what I must live by. Thankfully, I will only have to answer for my actions and my stance on these moral issues.

As for 4,000 Americans for nothing, the responsibility for that rests completely on our government, which the last time I looked included Dems, Reps, and Independents. The death of a soldier is tragic and I mourn the loss, but the death of the soldier that chooses to serve can never be compared to that of the death of a still unborn child who has no choice.

I hate to enter into this thread for the simple reason that PVFAN brought up 4,000 soldiers' lives and boney brought up 40,000,000 helpless babies, but I feel it lies upon our shoulders to right the wrongs of this country. Are there any other countries who have laws against abortion? What about the atrocities that Hussein himself did against his own countrymen? I'm not talking about the WMD, everyone knows that was a bust, but I am talking about the "gassing" of kurdish shepards and anyone who even had a thought of going against Hussein. Yes, abortion is wrong morally, but right now, it is legal in our country.

Nowhere in the Bible does it make the breaking of one commandment and greater than the breaking of another. Thall shalt not kill may apply to abortion...but Thall shalt not steal, Thall shalt not bear false witness, and Thall shalt not covet are commandments as well...all broken by your morally upstanding GOP...heck, even some GOP members of congress are trying to get laid in the men's room and chasing pages of the same sex....so how really do you justify that? Religion has no place in politics.
